Hines hires student housing asset manager

UK: Global real estate investment firm Hines has appointed Alexandra Gumuchian to its student housing team.

Gumuchian has joined Hines UK as an asset manager on the student housing team as part of the firm’s continuing expansion strategy in the sector. She will be responsible for managing Hines UK’s 11 student housing assets in the UK and Ireland. She joins Hines from iQ Student Accommodation, where she worked as an investment associate, and also has five years of experience working at Savills. In her new role, Gumuchian will be working alongside Jurrien de Koning, who is spearheading the growth of Hines’s student accommodation portfolio.

Hines is a privately owned global real estate investment firm founded in 1957 with a presence in 205 cities in 24 countries. Hines has approximately $133.3 billion1 of assets under management, including $71 billion for which Hines serves as an investment manager, including non-real estate assets, and $62.3 billion for which Hines provides third-party property-level services.
