Germany: Serviced apartment booking portal Acomodeo has increased the number of properties on the platform to 400,000 with more growth to come.

The company says it is on target to achieve its goals of international growth and the consolidation of its position as the leading provider of serviced apartments.

In the last two quarters, numerous apartments have been included in Acomodeo's contracted inventory, bringing the total number of apartments available to business travellers worldwide to 400,000. More than half of these apartments can be booked directly online. This means, that the goal of representing a quarter of all serviced apartments available worldwide has been achieved. By the end of 2018, Acomodeo is expected to offer half of the total global serviced apartment inventory.

Acomodeo says it has recorded new bookings from more than 170 companies during the past six months. The customer base includes global players as well as DAX companies and more than 300 medium-sized companies from all over Europe. Acomodeo plans to leverage the average customer satisfaction of 94 per cent to connect with further external partners. In this context, a new API (Application Programming Interface) was recently introduced for resellers, which enables the distribution of Acomodeo's inventory "in a modern and standardised way". During the last six months, two thirds of all bookings came from outside the German speaking countries.

The company has made several new appointments, including Alexander Blancke as COO, Gerald Müller as CFO and Ariane Landes as head of marketing. Its team in Frankfurt is supported by 26 new employees and interns, taking its workforce to 46.
