Westmont buys Amsterdam aparthotel as part of mixed-use deal

Netherlands: Westmont Hospitality has acquired the VEN Amsterdam, a business and entertainment complex in Amsterdam’s Sloterdijk area.

It bought the development from real estate firm Omnam Group. The transaction includes the new 476-room Park Inn Amsterdam City West, the 50-room B-Aparthotel Westgate, 4,000 square metres of conference space, a Holland Casino with a total area of 5,000 square metres as well as 6,000 square metres of retail space.

Based in Toronto, Westmont owns more than 500 hotels worldwide. It was founded in 1974 by the Mangalji family and is run today by CEO Kenny Gibson.

In June last year, B-aparthotels sold four of its properties to Belgian REIT Home Invest Belgium.</p
