Residence Inn opens Hawaii property

US: Marriott has opened a 183-suite Residence Inn in Kapolei, on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

Located at 731 Kunehi Street, the Residence Inn Oahu Kapolei will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Kapolei Hotel Partners II and managed by Western States Lodging & Management of Taylorsville, Utah.

General manager Brian Hunnings and director of sales Kelly Kitashima lead the management team at the property for Western States Lodging.

“We are pleased to introduce Residence Inn to the Kapolei area,” said Diane Mayer, vice president and global brand manager, Residence Inn at Marriott International. “When on the road for an extended period, our guests need space to spread out, maintain their life’s pace and restore their energy to help maintain a healthy balance and routine while traveling. This new hotel offers a seamless blend of modern style and functionality that allows them to settle in and thrive.”

The hotel is pet-friendly and provides guests with business services, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, an outdoor fire pit, barbecue grills and bocce ball court.
