US: A proposed Park Inn Residences property in Port Charlotte, Florida, will be Radisson’s first extended stay property in the US if approved.

The Charlotte County Planning and Zoning Advisory Board has unanimously recommended a rezone for the project, and county commissioners will review the project on November 24, according to developer Alan Lane, president of Developmental Real Estate Solutions, LLC.

Lane’s investment and development group needs a zone change before they can buy the four acres of vacant land from Edgewater United Methodist Church. If passed, the zoning would permit the hotel and a restaurant. Lane wants his investors to close on the land by the end of the year, with construction starting in 2021.

Lane said the Park Inn will provide accommodation for construction workers, with an ADR of around $70.

“This is going to be for the average person,” he said.
