UK: A 41-unit Staying Cool aparthotel on Manchester’s Chorlton Street has been granted planning consent.

Developer Cringle Corporation has been granted full planning application to change the use of 40 Chorlton Street into a 41-bed aparthotel with a rooftop extension and a restaurant/bar at ground and basement level.

The former cotton warehouse, which was once home to the Mash & Air bar-restaurant and Jongleurs comedy club, has been empty for several years.

The architect on the project is Halliday Meecham Architects and the planning consultant is Euan Kellie Property Solutions.

Staying Cool also operates a 45-bed aparthotel on the top floors of the Rotunda building in Birmingham city centre.</p
