Australia: A proposed mixed-use scheme in Perth is set to include 144 serviced apartments.

Developer EG Funds has submitted plans for a $300 million scheme in the Northbridge district which will consist of three towers near Perth railway station.

The first stage, the 150-metre Beaufort Tower will become Western Australia’s tallest residential building.

Stirling Tower (76 metres) and Roe Tower (122 metres) will follow.

If given the go-ahead by a development assessment panel, construction will start in late 2015, with the first tower completed by mid-2018.

The scheme will create 804 residential flats and 144 serviced apartments across the three towers.

The plans also include  5,000 square metres of commercial space, including 11 retail tenancies, more than 900 parking spaces and a business centre.

The design is a collaboration between Fender Katsalidis Architects and Hassell.
