Onyx signs fourth Hong Kong Shama property with Tai Hung Fai Group

China: Onyx Hospitality Group has signed a management agreement for a Shama serviced apartment property in North Point, Hong Kong.

Shama Island North will be the fourth property in a partnership between Onyx and developer Tai Hung Fai Group, following Shama Hollywood, Shama Fortress Hill and Shama Midlevels. It is expect to open in early 2017.

Located on 310A King’s Road, Shama Island North will feature 121 keys. There will be 29 hotel rooms, located on the second to fourth floors available for short stay, and 92 serviced apartments, located on the fifth floor onwards in studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom configurations will be available for longer stays.

Each apartment will feature a fully equipped kitchen, customised Shama Slumber bed, high-definition TV with an international selection of channels, a DVD player, and Wi-Fi internet. Some apartments will also have their own private balconies or terraces.

Shama Island North will also offer an in-house fitness centre, a lounge area, a roof terrace and a business centre, Shama Wired. In addition, self-service laundry facilities, located on the fifth floor, will be made available for long-stay guests. Personalised housekeeping service, round-the-clock security and concierge services will also be provided.

Onyx currently manages 19 serviced apartments under the Shama brand across Asia Pacific, including six in Hong Kong.
