Old Town Chambers scoops serviced apartment prize at Scottish Hotel Awards

UK: Old Town Chambers in Edinburgh has been named as the Scottish Hotel Awards Serviced Apartments of the Year 2015.

The apartments form part of a £46 million redevelopment of three medieval closes off Edinburgh’s Royal Mile.

Julie Grieve, CEO of Lateral City, operator of Old Town Chambers, said: “We’re delighted to have our apartments recognised by the industry body.Serviced apartments are now recognised as an excellent addition to Scotland’s accommodation offering and we feel very proud to have won this award within 20 months of opening.

“We believe visitors are now looking for a unique experience when it comes to choosing their accommodation and serviced apartments offer great flexibility for bookers, whether that be a couple looking for a romantic break, to a family reunion,” she added.

The development comprises 50 apartments, including a 15th century townhouse and three penthouses,  and feature state-of the-art facilities with centuries old architectural features.
