Oakwood opens dual-branded Washington DC property

US: Oakwood has announced opened Oakwood Suites & Studios Dupont Circle Washington DC.

Set in a 20th-century neoclassical manor, Oakwood Suites & Studios Dupont Circle Washington DC was previously known as Ampeer Residences. The historic property was once owned by socialite Eleanor Josephine Medill “Cissy” Patterson, and the contemporary manor has played host to the likes of President Calvin Coolidge and aviator Charles Lindbergh.

The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States and was recently restored.

The dual-branded property houses 92 suites and studios alongside an event venue, Patterson Mansion. The property can accommodate short or long stays, “offering a unique dual-brand experience of Oakwood Suites and Oakwood Studios respectively, across two separate wings”.

Oakwood Studios features modern apartments in the Studios Tower, while the Oakwood Suites offering is in the main tower of the building.

Amenities include a foyer lounge, library, social kitchen, and fitness centr. The Patterson Mansion event space features high ceilings, intricate design details a built-in bar. It can host up to 100 guests.
