Singapore: Alwyn Fitzgerald has been appointed as director of sales for 28 Oakwood branded properties in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.

Fitzgerald will report to Tabatha Ramsay, vice president of sales, marketing and revenue management for the Oakwood properties in the region. He will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to maximise revenue for the company and deliver increased customer value.

Fitzgerald has worked in Europe and Asia and has experience marketing multiple properties across hotel brands such as Hilton Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels Group and Marriott International. He will operate out of Oakwood's office in Singapore.

Tabatha Ramsay said: "Serviced apartments are growing in popularity amongst discerning travellers, with their hotel-like amenities such as room service and daily housekeeping and the apartment conveniences business travellers love, like a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer and separate living and sleeping quarters. With Fitzgerald's hotel sales expertise, we are confident that he will be able to craft compelling offers that increase customer value and improve account revenue share, while strengthening the identity of the brand categories."
