Oakwood and Kapil Group sign second Hyderabad property

India: Oakwood Worldwide and the Kapil Group (BVM Energy and Residence) will open a second Oakwood-branded property in Hyderabad in 2020.

Located near the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Oakwood Hotel & Apartments will feature 175 hotel rooms and serviced apartments with facilities including a business centre, gym and restaurant.

"Hyderabad has been developing at a rapid pace with its emerging IT, pharmaceutical and MICE industries," said Dean Schreiber, managing director, Asia-Pacific, Oakwood Worldwide. "We are excited to be opening our fifth property in India and are proud to be able to provide quality corporate housing solutions to the evolving city in Hyderabad," he said in a statement.

Vaman Rao, chairman of the Board of Kapil Group said: "We selected Oakwood Apartments for this development project for its approach towards modern serviced living."

Kapil Group is a conglomerate of more than 35 companies involved in 24 different businesses, with more than 400 offices and 16,000 employees.
