Switzerland: Boutique luxury apart-hotel company, Le Bijou, is offering a quarantine package for customers to stay in high-end quarantine apartments, with meal delivery and medical services included.

With quarantine apartments in Zurich, Zug and Lucerne, the company has launched its Covid-19 Service - a customisable stay where guests have access to nurse care, doctor visits, and a personal chef service.

Its healthcare partner Double Check, a private clinic in Switzerland, can even provide in-room coronavirus tests.

Other quarantine-friendly perks include automated check-ins, high-speed fibre internet for those working from home, inclusive entertainment programmes, and food deliveries.

Alexander Hübner, co-founder and chief executive of Le Bijou Hotel & Resort Management AG, said: “In beginning of March, revenues had dropped significantly. We said, OK, we need to react immediately to that.”

“In the beginning, we just had about two inquiries a day. Now it’s ramped up to four, five, six a day, and we just started, I think, one week, 10 days ago.”

Le Bijou requests that anyone with COVID-19 does not relocate to its properties, advising to stay where they are and follow government guidelines.

Le Bijou has properties in Basel, Bern and Geneva in addition to those mentioned above.
