Ireland: The Naomh Seosamh Hotel in Fethard-on-Sea will reopen in 2018 as an aparthotel.

The Co. Wexford property’s owners Justin Keatinge and Maureen Stuart are investing in the former hotel, which closed in November 2008 and has fallen into disrepair since.

Work on the property is underway, and a planning application has been submitted to Wexford County Council for an extension and alterations to the existing hotel, including an extension to the first floor area, a new roof, and a new entrance porch to the street front facade. Change of use has been sought for the second floor for guest accommodation.

The old hotel was named after the Naomh Seosamh boat which sank in 1957.</p
