UK: Next week’s Serviced Apartment Awards ceremony in London will feature a new venue, new categories and new sponsors as the event goes from strength to strength.

The final preparations for the 2020 Serviced Apartment Awards are underway, and the event, which has quickly become a highlight of the industry calendar, will attract 350 industry professionals from around the world.

Held at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in London’s Kensington on March 12, the awards feature two new categories for 2020 – the Profit with Purpose award and the best Coliving or Coworking development award.

Two categories – Rising Star and Industry Inspiration – have been voted for by Serviced Apartment news readers, while the other 17 categories have been decided by an independent judging panel made up of journalists, consultants, investors, architects, designers and travel buyers. Organisers International Hospitality Media (IHM) has confirmed an impressive roster of sponsors, with the latest to be confirmed The Ascott Ltd and STAY Serviced Apartments.

Other sponsors include Corporate Housing Factory, Nomad Aparthotels, AKA, Criton, Maxxton, Adina, AHV Associates, AltoVita, Avvio, Blue Orchid Hotels, Homelike, Hypnos, Res:Harmonics, RMS, Staycity, The Apartment Service, and Yays.

Katie Houghton, group head of sales: media and events at IHM, said: “We’re very pleased to welcome all our sponsors, both new and returning, to this year’s awards. The interest in the awards from companies around the world has been fantastic to see, and is a great demonstration that, despite various headwinds affecting global business in general, the fundamentals of the serviced apartment sector remain extremely strong, with the industry in great shape to continue its growth in to 2020 and beyond. At IHM we are delighted to help raise awareness of that growth, through the Serviced Apartment Awards and our websites and events.”

Our host, comedian and actor Les Dennis is back for a second year and there will be live music, lots of entertainment and a late bar.
