China: Frasers Hospitality has opened the 172-unit Modena Zhuankou Wuhan, its fifth Modena property in China.

The property is in the city's commercial centre and features a range of apartments, from studios to three-bedroom units.

Facilities and services include complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a 24-hour gym, an outdoor pool, a games room, meeting facilities and a café where complimentary breakfast is served.

The project joins Modena properties in Tianjin, Shanghai, Suzhou and Wuxi, and there are plans for four more Modena developments in the next two years.

Choe Peng Sum, CEO of the company, said: "Establishing a presence in China's fastest growing province (Hubei) will enable us to further strengthen our foothold in China as demand for our serviced residences remain strong in key cities as well as high-growth second- and third-tier ones. China will continue to be pivotal in our growth as we work towards doubling our global inventory to 30,000 serviced apartments over the next five years."
