UK: Samantha Thorne has joined the business development team at London serviced apartment operator Clarendon Serviced Apartments.

Thorne brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Clarendon from a career spanning 30 years in the serviced apartment sector. As the owner and operator of London Life Apartments between 1987 and 1997, she went on to co-found Bridgestreet in 1997 and through acquisition and partner networks led major growth and expansion in London, UK, EMEA AND APAC regions. Her most recent position was as chief commercial officer at Skyline, where she was responsible for overseeing sales, operations and global supply chain management.

Based in Clarendon's London office in Chandos Place, her new role encompasses new business development with particular focus on London, while exploring business growth opportunities in other markets.

Thorne said: "I'm thrilled to be joining Clarendon at a time of opportunity and planned growth. Clarendon is widely recognised in the industry and has a strong reputation for service and standards. I'm looking forward to working with the team and developing new opportunities to help achieve the company growth plans."

Claire Barrie, sales director Clarendon, said: "I'm delighted Samantha has joined the team. She is highly regarded and respected in the industry and having her knowledge and experience on-board is invaluable as Clarendon looks to major expansion in the future."
