US: A permit has been granted for the construction of a 155-room, seven-storey Residence Inn by Marriott, at a cost of $21.5 million.

MD Constructors GA LLC is the contractor for the hotel on 4.71 acres at 4905 San Pablo Road South, near the Mayo Clinic. The developer is Hotel Development Partners LLC of Atlanta.

The hotel will include a limited-service restaurant, bar, small meeting room and fitness room on the first floor and an outdoor pool.

The project was called San Pablo Place hotel on a permit application. The 16-acre San Pablo Place development is owned by Steinemann San Pablo LLC. Steinemannco.com, the website for Jacksonville-based Steinemann & Co., shows San Pablo Place as an “upscale mixed-use” to include office, hotel and retail space.

Hotel Development Partners CEO Allen O’Brien said previously the group expects to break ground early in the first quarter and open in fall 2020. He said the hotel will include brand standard finishes and amenities like those at the group’s Residence Inns in Miami Beach Surfside and Perimeter Center/Dunwoody.</p
