UK: Oddfellows boutique hotel in Chester will open the first of five planned serviced apartments at the end of April.

Sarah Dougherty, manager of Oddfellows, said: "We have always thought Oddfellows would work well with apartments. They offer concrete benefits to those looking for a longer stay and a little bit more room with all the convenience of being attached to a hotel with a restaurant and bar."

"We have lots of business travellers who stay with us for four or five nights at a time and families visiting the city at the weekend - the apartments will be absolutely ideal for them. They will have all the homely touches you need for a longer stay, generous wardrobes, comfy sofas, lamps, a fully fitted out kitchen all combined with our idiosyncratic  fun interior design," she added.

The apartments will be arranged  around a courtyard close to the hotel's F&B outlets.

They have been designed by Louise James, who said: "The design approach for the apartments was inspired by the building itsel. The large vehicle entrance to the internal courtyard suggests that it was originally built to allow carriages to pass through; this led to thinking about the excitement of historical travelling adventures."
