US: Tania Odabashian, a corporate housing industry veteran of 20 years, will be Corporate Housing Providers Association (CHPA) president for 2017 and 2018.

Odabashian is co-owner of Corporate Apartment Specialists, a regional corporate housing provider based in Arlington, Virginia.  Odabashian has been actively involved with CHPA in different capacities since 1998, having served on multiple task forces and committees, and most recently as secretary/treasurer of the CHPA executive committee.

CHPA has just completed a three-year strategic plan to grow the association and increase programs and services to members,” said Odabashian. “We are now launching a new three-year plan focused on industry evolution, industry engagement, and the competitive advantage of corporate housing. I am very excited to serve as chair as we begin this journey. When I walked into my first conference at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, nineteen years ago, it never occurred to me how much I would gain both personally and professionally from my work with this great organization (CHPA), she said.

Over the past year, Tania has been working actively on CHPA’s collaboration with the ASAP toward expanding the scope of ASAP’s Quality Assessment Program to CHPA member organisations.  “With the emergence of AirBnB and other alternative accommodations, the need for quality assurance will be of tantamount importance to the corporate housing industry moving forward,” said Odabashian.

Founded in January, 1996, CAS is a provider of short-term furnished apartments in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area with additional locations in Richmond, Baltimore, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, and Philadelphia. </p
