UK: The Ascott Limited has officially partnered with two charities, The Evelina Children’s Hospital and Action for Kids.

Ascott will support both charities through ongoing employee volunteering, fundraising opportunities and providing emergency accommodation for families of children admitted to The Evelina who need to stay close by.

The Evelina Hospital is the second largest provider of children’s services in London, and one of only two specialist children’s hospitals in the city.

Action for Kids works with young people with learning disabilities, aiding them in their transition to adulthood and helping them prepare for work. They also provide mobility equipment for disabled children and young people not provided by the NHS.

Rebecca Hollants van Loocke, regional general manager UK, Germany & Georgia, The Ascott Limited says: “Ascott is committed to making a difference and we believe in the principal of giving back to the communities where we operate. We’ve always provided opportunities for our people to get involved in volunteering opportunities for a range of different charities. This year, we have chosen to focus our efforts with The Evelina Children’s Hospital and Action for Kids, two charities that do wonderful work supporting young people and their families.”

“But it is not just about giving money to charity. We also want to inspire our people to support these charities through volunteering. We give each of our employees three days of paid volunteering each year,” she added.

Harriet Colley, fundraising team manager, The Evelina Hospital says: “We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to The Ascott Limited for signing up to support us through employee volunteering and fundraising. Our volunteers and fundraisers allow us to do more for Evelina London’s young patients, from buying patient comforts such as toys and art supplies, to making sure the best medical equipment is available in the hospital. We’re really excited about working with Ascott in the future.”

Lyn Prodger, corporate sponsorships manager, Action for Kids says: “We are delighted to be working with Ascott and cannot thank them enough for choosing to support our services and offering their time to fundraise and volunteer with us. This partnership will make a real difference and enable disabled children and young people to cross the barriers to independence.”
