Ascott launches Citadines property in Metro Manila

Phillipines: Ascott has opened its latest Asian property, Citadines Salcedo Makati.

The property is in Makati’s business district, close to the Citibank Tower, Ayala Tower, and the Philippines Stock Exchange.

“We believe that the Philippine economy will continue to grow, leading to greater interest among both investors and tourists,” said Arthur Gindap, Ascott’s regional general manager for the Philippines and Thailand. “In light of the favourable financial and economic direction of the country, Ascott and its brand Citadines, have  decided to expandits operations in the country to take advantage of the growing market segment of expatriates and business travellers who are expected to arrive and ride the country’s growth wave.”

Ascott has further plans for the Phillipines and is set to open Ascott BGC by the end of 2014 and Citadines Millennium Ortigas Manila in 2015. Currently, Ascott manages three properties in the Philippines – Ascott Makati, Somerset Millennium Makati and Somerset Olympia Makati.
