Brazil: Aparthotels Adagio has opened two properties in the São Paulo area.

The first is part of an AccorHotels complex in São Bernardo do Campo, which features three hotels and 500 serviced apartments under the ibis, ibis budget and Adagio ApartHotel brands.

"In the same place, people will have at their disposal more than 500 apartments divided into economical, super-economical and long-stay options. The idea is to have the ideal accommodation to meet the real needs of each guest profile", said Olivier Hick, Accor's SVP operations midscale South America.

The Adagio São Bernardo ApartHotel has 104 apartments, a modern fitness centre, a laundry and function room.

The second property, Adagio Aparthotel São Paulo Barra Funda, is the brand's ninth apart hotel in Brazil and sixth in the state of São Paulo. The investment of Setin Incorporadora was more than R$ 1.8 million in this new venture.

The 195-key property is located 700 metres from the Espaço das Américas, São Paulo's large events venue.

"AccorHotels has been betting on the expansion of the Adagio Aparthotel network here in Brazil. The expectation is that the number of apartments available to the brand in the country will grow more and more until 2020," said Hick. "The Adagio Aparthotel is mainly sought after by two public profiles: those travelling for business or family. The big difference of the brand is to have a kitchen equipped, to be pet friendly and to own an exclusive laundry for the guests, being, therefore, an ideal option for stays of medium and long term."
