Australia: Queen’s Tower, a luxury apartment project in Brisbane’s CBD, will include 100 serviced apartments.

A development application for the 76-storey tower at 545 Queen St was submitted to the Brisbane City Council this week by Property Development Systems Australia. The proposals include 891 luxury residences, 100 serviced apartments as well as shops, restaurants and a rooftop pool and gymnasium.

The site opposite the Hotel Orient – on an island between Queen, Adelaide and Macrossan streets – is currently occupied by a 10-level office block.

“Brisbane’s CBD is set to undergo transformative change over the next decade, with the Howard Smith Wharves precinct expected to open mid-2017 and Queen’s Wharf to follow in 2022,” said PDS Australia executive chairman Sameh Ibrahim. “As the Brisbane urban landscape changes and the population increases, Queen’s Tower will respond to that future need for quality inner-city living.”</p
