Australia: Ascott has opened Citadines Connect Sydney Airport, which is described as “a chic business hotel perfect for frequent travellers passing through the city”.

Upon arrival, guests travel straight to the property’s Penthouse, the gateway to all 150 guest rooms and a vantage point from which visitors are expected to spend much of their leisure time.

With a retro design of bright pastels, patterned floors, neon signs and artwork adorned walls, the Penthouse “immediately transports guests back to the golden age of air travel, a vibrant period of glamour and indulgence”.

The hotel was designed by architects Fox Johnston and interior designer Cressida Kennedy.

The rooms available range from economy to first-class and offer views of the runway or Sydney’s city lights. Each features deluxe bedding, a 55-inch TV with Netflix, complimentary Wi-Fi, rainfall shower and blackout curtains.

Other amenities include a business centre, meeting facilities, USB and charging stations, and a 24-hour Grab & Go food shop offering hot and cold meals.

Located in Mascot, the property is a 15-minute walk or 2-minute drive to Sydney Airport’s domestic terminal, and a 10-minute drive to the international terminal. Sydney’s CBD is also located a 15-minute drive or train ride away.

Citadines Connect Sydney Airport will be an unexpected oasis for travellers constantly on the go where they can relax and recharge while staying connected.

A sub-brand of Citadines, Citadines Connect is “a line of business hotels with selected services to cater to frequent travellers who are constantly connected, offering a chic living experience in vibrant city destinations”. Ascott has launched Citadines Connect to widen its short-stay offerings as it continues to grow its portfolio.
