Priestley plans aparthotel in Warrington town centre

UK: Leeds-based developer Priestley is planning an aparthotel in a former post office at Palmyra Square, one of two schemes it is proposing for Warrington town centre.

The £1.8 million project will see the upper floors of the building converted into 21 units, while commercial space on the ground floor will be retained.

The developer has also submitted plans for a £3.5 million residential scheme on Museum Street, featuring 27 apartments.

Priestley’s construction business will act as main contractor on both projects, subject to them receiving planning permission. Both applications are being brought forward in partnership with property firm Immedi-Let.

The town is subject to major regeneration plans and is fast becoming one of the North West’s most desirable places to live, work and visit. Our plans ensure that the external aesthetics remain the same, with new features complementing the existing properties. We are committed to supporting the council’s Local Plan, while still meeting demand for residential accommodation.”
