UK: Luxury serviced apartment provider Cheval Residences has appointed Robert Speirs as marketing manager.

In his new role, the company says he will be instrumental in positioning Cheval Residences to consumer and business travellers in London.
Speirs joins Cheval from Virgin Limited Edition, a collection of 10 boutique hotels owned by Richard Branson, where he spent 10 years. Prior to this, he worked for Marriott in Brussels. During his time at Virgin Limited Edition, Speirs successfully branded and launched five new hotels and their associated food and beverage outlets.
Originally from the UK, Speirs spent time growing up in Denmark and the US before moving to Belgium in 2000 and returning back to the UK in 2006.
He said: "I am very excited to be joining Cheval Residences, where each property has its own individual character and a truly five-star level of service. I look forward to working with the Cheval team and becoming their brand guardian."
George Westwell, director of Cheval Residences, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Robert to the Cheval family and have no doubt the marketing team will thrive under Robert's expertise. Robert has certainly joined us at a very exciting time as we are continuously looking into opportunities to develop and expand the Cheval brand."
