Netherlands: Homelike, a B2B booking platform for furnished apartments, is launching in Amsterdam this month initially with 1,000 units in Amsterdam.

Following Amsterdam, Homelike will offer apartments in Rotterdam and other cities in the Benelux region.

"We are very excited to offer furnished apartments also in Amsterdam where many large companies are based. Amsterdam is an international melting pot and companies were frequently asking us if we can support them in finding business accommodation for their employees on assignments or relocations. Finding a reasonably priced and comfortable 'home away from home' from abroad is very difficult because of highly fragmented apartment offerings. Therefore, Amsterdam was the next logical step for us as part of our European expansion strategy," said Dustin Figge, CEO and founder of Homelike.

Following the opening of its first overseas office in the UK, the launch of the business in the Netherlands is Homelike's second internationalisation step outside of the GSA region (Germany, Switzerland, Austria).

"Thanks to the proximity to Cologne's Homelike headquarters and the very close and efficient cooperation with the apartment providers in the Netherlands we have been able to quickly offer a large selection of high-quality apartments," said Pia Schürmann, key account manager responsible for supplier acquisition.

Homelike has a portfolio of 50,000 furnished business apartments in four countries and more than 120 cities.

Dustin Figge will be taking part on a debate about alternative accommodation at the 2019 Serviced Apartment Summit RECHARGE in Berlin on January 22 and 23.
