Serviced Apartment News publisher International Hospitality Media has announced the launch of its latest initiative in the serviced apartment and extended stay sector.

SAS Europe Recharge will focus on European regional serviced apartment, aparthotel, extended stay and short-term rental markets, and feature a prestigious line up of industry leaders, and ‘invite only’ investors. Limited to 140 attendees and clearly differentiated from the annual Serviced Apartment Summit Europe in London, the majority of attendee sessions will be curated in debate, workshop and group problem-solving formats to help stimulate conversation, collaboration, innovation and value creation.

The first Recharge will be held at the award-winning Zoku Amsterdam, host sponsor for the event. From its humble beginnings as a 13th-century fishing village on a river bed to its current role as a major hub for business, tourism and culture, Amsterdam has had a strong tradition as a centre of culture and commerce, making this city the perfect location for the event.

IHM CEO Piers Brown said: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of SAS Europe Recharge. We identified a need for innovative, regionally focused events to sit alongside the major conferences we host on three continents. The Recharge events will provide the time for attendees to build friendships – not simply contacts, combining the ideal setting with great opportunities for getting deals done within a busy social and activities agenda.

“Amsterdam and the wider Benelux region is home to a thriving and fast-growing serviced apartment and extended stay sector, and is the ideal location to launch the Recharge events, which will take place in a series of the hottest European real estate markets,” added Brown.
