Australia: Oaks Hotels & Resorts has opened Oaks Southbank, its seventh property in Melbourne.

The new-build property is located on City Road in the Southbank neighbourhood, opposite the Eureka Skydeck. The 37-storey building features 87 one- and two-bedroom units and offers guests outstanding panoramic views.

Developed by LK Property Group and designed by Artisan Architects, Oaks Southbank has a striking white, black and gilded façade, "blending with industrial-style textured concrete and metal components that give the tower a striking skyline presence".

The apartments feature timber flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies.

Mike Anderson, chief operations officer for Oaks Hotels & Resorts, said: "We are delighted to unveil our newest Victorian property, Oaks Southbank, and reaffirm our presence and position as one of Melbourne's largest accommodation providers. Now with seven properties spanning the CBD, Southbank and South Yarra, we are pleased to provide guests with even more choice when it comes to contemporary, self-contained accommodation in key locations across Melbourne, well suited to those travelling for both business and leisure."
