UK: Old Town Chambers, a development of luxury serviced apartments in Edinburgh’s old town, has appointed Gavin MacLennan as general manager.

With more than 22 years of hospitality experience, MacLennan has worked at many of Scotland's leading hotels, including Turnberry, Gleneagles and the Balmoral. For the last 12 years he has worked for Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Edinburgh, Belgium and USA, holding senior positions.
"Edinburgh is where I first started my career and I'm delighted to be back and joining Old Town Chambers. Since it opened two years ago it has amassed a number of awards in such a short space of time which is testament to the product - luxurious, but not old fashioned despite having 15th century elements - and team in place," said MacLennan.
"The capital is one of the top visitor destinations, and at this time of year when Princes Street is transformed into a winter wonderland, our enviable position of overlooking the festivities makes staying at Old Town Chambers even more magical."
