Germany: Homelike, an online booking platform for serviced apartments has grown its inventory to more than 5,000 units across 11 cities.

Homelike has recorded inventory growth of 60 per cent in the last three months due to growing demand from corporate customers. The Cologne-based company was founded in early 2015 and since then around 150 companies have booked a furnished apartment online. The average length of stay is four months. The most popular cities are Berlin, Cologne, Munich and Frankfurt.

Homelike’s billing process ensures correct VAT invoicing in line with all regulations and the lease between tenant and landlord is signed via electronic signature online. All Homelike landlords hold a lessor license and must be verified by Homelike staff.

Founder and CEO Dustin Figge said: “For companies it is a new experience to have the possibility to book furnished apartments for their employees entirely online. The dynamic job market nowadays require a high degree of flexibility and mobility from every employee in their everyday working life. Homelike supports companies to have an overview and transparency of the corporate housing market.”

Homelike is the perfect solution for long stay business travels, where the business travellers feel at home far away from home,” he added.
