UK: The date and venue for the first Serviced Apartment Awards has been announced.

London’s Grange Tower Bridge Hotel – a five-star venue in central London will be hosting the inaugural Serviced Apartment Awards on Monday 21st March 2016.

The Serviced Apartment Awards are the first-ever awards exclusively for serviced apartment, aparthotel, extended stay and short term rental providers, and their suppliers and customers.

The event is being hosted by Serviced Apartment News, in partnership with content marketing agency Travel Intelligence Network.

Up to 450 industry professionals will come together to applaud the winners in 20 different categories including best use of social media; best ‘game changer’; lifetime achiever; best extended stay property; best aparthotel; best serviced apartment; best branded residence; best agent; best design; best technology innovation and best marketing campaign.

The full list of award categories, together with information on how to enter and nominate, will be announced shortly. All awards are free to enter.

Piers Brown of Serviced Apartment News said: “None of the existing award events place enough focus on the burgeoning serviced apartment, extended stay and short term rental sectors. There isn’t one set of awards that operators, agents, alliances and suppliers to the sector can all enter. Or one that recognises excellence at corporate and individual levels. Until now. The Serviced Apartment Awards will cover the full range of activities in the sector. There is no cost to enter the awards. Each award will be judged by a panel of industry experts drawn from the investor, operator, supplier and corporate buyer communities. Entering will be quick, simple and free.”

The choice of venue is a deliberate one, with Grange Hotels the latest hotel operator to venture into the extended stay market. Its Minories development is just around the corner from the awards venue and is scheduled to open in Q2 of 2016.

Grange Hotels’ chairman Tony Matharu said: “At Grange Hotels we are always looking to innovate, to enhance the quality and range of accommodation in London and to complement our existing London hotel portfolio. In supporting the inaugural Serviced Apartment Awards and as a new entrant to this sector Grange Hotels hope to recognise both the individual nominees and the Serviced Apartment sector more generally. As a hotel investor, designer and operator we look forward to hosting the Serviced Apartment Awards in 2016 and to achieving success in the awards in the years to come.”

George Sell, editor of Serviced Apartment News said: “This initiative is an opportunity for the industry to come together in the spotlight. Entrants have nothing to lose – and everything to gain. Winning awards that are important to your target audience can be a powerful marketing tool.”

The awards categories and entry procedure will be announced shortly.</p
