UAE: DAMAC Properties has launched a luxury serviced hotel apartment project at the proposed Expo 2020 site.

Called Celestia, the project will consist of studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments across an eight-floor complex in Dubai World Central Residential City, near the new Al Maktoum International Airport.

The development will also feature shops, restaurants, and a fitness centre.

Niall McLoughlin, senior vice president of DAMAC Properties, said: "Celestia will be the shining light in the heart of the world's first 'aerotropolis' - a thriving and vibrant new community in Dubai. Not only is Celestia set in the perfect location to serve Expo 2020 and Al Maktoum International Airport, it will also deliver residents high quality, five-star hotel standard services from DAMAC's hospitality division."

The project is due for completion in 2016.
