UK: A Manchester office block formerly occupied by account giant firm PwC has been converted into the SACO Manchester Piccadilly aparthotel.

The £3.5 million conversion of the 41,500 square foot Abacus Building in Minshull Street was undertaken by Barnfield Construction on behalf of Macclesfield-based landlord, Magnus, and required a change of use from B1 offices to an aparthotel.

The property will be operated by SACO The Serviced Apartment Company, providing 63 serviced apartments for long and short stay leisure and business travellers.

Savills negotiated the lease to SACO on behalf of Magnus. Joint agents Savills and Canning O’Neill are seeking an occupier for the remaining 1,641 square foot ground floor suite, which comprises office and retail space.
