Urban Living Lite launches as festival postponed until July 2021

UK: International Hospitality Media (IHM), the publisher of SAN, has announced it will be postponing the inaugural Urban Living Festival until July next year, and is launching a series of Urban Living Lite online and offline events following a recent announcement from UK prime minister Boris Johnson.

Urban Living Festival (ULF) is a new type of event, themed across three stages – live, work and stay, where the global community of contemporary hospitality and real estate leaders will gather to collectively define the evolution of living and working in modern cities. This, together with ENGAGE!, the corporate travel buyer forum was scheduled to take place at Tobacco Dock in London on November 25 and 26, with dates now confirmed as July 7 and 8, 2021 at the same venue.

Building up to and during week commencing November 23rd IHM will be hosting a series of live face-to-face events with a digital option to join.

IHM CEO Piers Brown said: “The support from confirmed sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and attendees has been amazing and we are all disappointed to have to postpone ULF. Everybody is acutely aware how much pent up demand is there to do business face-to-face at live events. The worsening Covid situation in the UK and subsequent government announcement has unfortunately taken the decision out of our hands based on the numbers expected to attend.”

“Our smaller, bespoke Urban Living Lite events will attract thought leaders looking to the future and be hosted at some of the best city venues open for business, with the majority streamed digitally.  These sponsored and paid for events will be complemented by our series of on-going webinars which have seen more than 100 contributors and 4,500+ registrations from hospitality and real estate professionals since launch. And watch this space for other exciting innovations from the IHM team as we continue to keep our audiences engaged across a variety of platforms.”

The first Urban Living Lite live in-person events are scheduled for:

October 13th: What’s going down in London town? Sponsored by Central London Alliance: Hosted by Blue Orchid Hotels.
30 attendees max – invitation only.
October 22nd: Space is being repurposed based on workers and guests’ wellbeing and the changing environment around them: is this going to be a short–term fix or a long-term change?  Sponsored and hosted at Minotti, London.
30 attendees max – invitation only; webinar option available.
November 3rd: Is automation the start of personalisation – how far will IoT get you? Sponsored by Commscope.
30 attendees max – invitation only; webinar option available.
