Ireland: Global Hospitality tech business Avvio has been named on Ireland’s Great Place to Work list.

The list, announced yesterday, recognises workplaces based on nine unique criteria: inspiring, speaking, listening, caring, developing, thanking, hiring, celebrating, and sharing.

The companies had their staff fill an anonymous survey, and were judged on these practices against other organisations throughout the country. Also included was in-depth analysis of open comments from employees about working for their businesses.

The company currently employs 74 staff across three offices, one in Florida, one in London, and their headquarters in Limerick. The group’s inclusion was announced alongside the rest of the list at the Clayton Hotel in Dublin.

Avvio CEO Frank Reeves said: We’re thrilled to be named one of the best workplaces in Ireland. This has come off the back of a really great year of growth for Avvio and we are committed to continuing the good work we do.

“We have worked hard to create a dynamic and supportive culture where people can thrive, realise their true potential and achieve career development alongside true work satisfaction.”

The group, creators of Allora, the first hotel booking engine powered by AI, have seen a period of impressive growth over the past few years. Their biggest achievement has been expanding into the North American Market.

Cathal Divilly, partner at Great Places to Work Ireland said, “Meeting the criteria to appear on the list of Best Workplaces in Ireland is a massive achievement and I have no doubt will provide Avvio with a great platform to differentiate themselves both externally and internally as employers of choice.”

She added: “This year’s survey findings show that employees in these workplaces feel greater levels of organisational pride than ever before.”</p
