Australia: Quest Apartment Hotels has signed a deal for a Ballarat property with long-tern development partner Pellicano Group.
The 77-key Quest Ballarat Station will be part of a multimillion-dollar redevelopment of Ballarat Station, close to the V-Line railway, and offering direct access to Melbourne’s CBD. The overall precinct will see the former Goods Shed converted into a multi-purpose convention centre operated by the Spotless Group, with a multi-level car park, retail offerings, restaurants and transport interchange also featuring.
Quest general manager – growth, James Shields, said: “We’ve engaged Pellicano for several new Quest Apartment Hotels properties in Melbourne, regional Victoria and Brisbane over the last decade. The mixed-use model offers guests more options and flexibility thanks to the variety of partners that get involved.”
Construction work is underway, with the development expected to be completed by early 2021.
