UK: The winners of the fifth annual Serviced Apartment Awards celebrated in London last night, at a gala dinner presentation at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel Kensington.

Despite the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, around 300 international guests attended the black-tie ceremony, hosted by actor and comedian Les Dennis, to see the winners of the 19 awards pick up their prizes. The awards were judged by an independent panel consisting of travel buyers, journalists, architects, designers and service providers, and attracted more than 300 entries from around the world.

Two categories – Rising Star and Industry Inspiration – were voted for by Serviced Apartment News readers via an online poll. And two new categories – Best Coliving or Coworking Development and Profit with Purpose Award were introduced for 2020.

Piers Brown, CEO of International Hospitality Media, the publisher of Serviced Apartment News, said: “It was a great night for all involved, and we are very grateful to everybody who supported and attended the awards in what are very difficult circumstances for the industry and the wider economy. Tonight was a great demonstration of the spirit and sense of community that typifies the serviced apartment sector and we are proud to have been able to bring everybody together to celebrate. Congratulations to all the winners and shortlisted entries.”
