US: Synergy Global Housing has appointed Robin Spindel as the company’s new vice president of marketing.

In her new role, Spindel will work from the New York office under international president Stephen Hanton to oversee the company’s marketing strategy and execution.

Spindel brings over 20 years of experience to her new position. Most recently, she worked as EVP of marketing at Furnished Quarters for eight years, where she was able to double the company’s annual revenue through an expansion of its online and global presence.  Before working at Furnished Quarters, Spindel held several executive marketing roles at companies including Ultimate Escapes, Insight Cuba, and Sherman’s Travel. In these roles, Spindel gained experience developing teams, expanding market operations, and aiding agency partners.

Hanton said: “Robin’s experience, expertise, and leadership are exactly what we need to drive further brand penetration both domestically and throughout the EMEA and APAC regions. Her skills for guiding growth-mode companies to greater brand recognition, profit, and market share are a perfect match for Synergy’s internationalization efforts.”

This announcement comes after a period of change for Synergy, as the company underwent a bottom-up brand refresh this year. In the refresh, the company received a new icon, tagline, mission statement, and more. The new changes are meant to draw demand from a more diverse worldwide audience. Through the refresh Synergy, along with its parent companies The Ascott Limited and CapitaLand Limited, aims to become a global leader in extended stay accommodations.

Jack Jensky, co-founder of Synergy, said: “As we continue to expand globally, bring on new client verticals, and develop our product and services set to adapt to the changing needs of today’s extended-stay traveller, Robin’s expertise for integrated B2B and B2C marketing strategies will prove critical to our success,”

Spindel’s role will support the new refresh by working with the digital, content thought leadership, and supporting collateral areas to increase both domestic and international demand.

Spindel said: “I am thrilled to join a clear hospitality leader in the alternative accommodation space. Leveraging my significant experience marketing corporate housing, I look forward to increasing Synergy’s brand equity in key international markets while unifying and integrating our revitalized vision, mission, purpose, and values in the way we support travellers worldwide.”
