US: Extended stay hotel operator stayAPT Suites has revealed plans for a three-storey property in Cordova, Memphis.

The North Carolina-based company has so far has built four hotels, two of which are owned by the corporation and two by franchisees.

“On out, we’ll open one a month,” said the company’s real estate manager, Henry Warner. “We are actively looking at multiple sites across West Tennessee and northern Mississippi.”

One of the new properties will be at 1630 Chickering in Cordova. The company has filed an application with the Land Use Control Board for a planned development on the vacant land. The planning board will review the application on May 13.

The building will be three stories and house either 76 or 88 guest rooms.

Warner said: “We want to give our guests a better option for long-term lodging. Our rooms with a king-size bed are 500 square feet and the double-king rooms are 550 square feet.”

The space offers a separate bedroom with a 55-inch TV and walk-in closet; a full kitchen with full-size refrigerator, dishwasher and marble countertops; and a living room with another large TV and pull-out sofa bed.

Each stayAPT has a courtyard with fire pits, grill and lounge chairs.
