UK: Nestor has been appointed to manage The Carlyle building in Earls Court, and will use it as a model for environmentally friendly practices in the serviced apartment sector.

The Carlyle has 12 apartments, each having undergone refurbishment by Visu Verum Interiors.

Nestor will provide guests at The Carlyle with ethical brands such as Who Gives a Crap toilet paper and Noble Isle vegan toiletries, as well as seasonal welcome treats from local, responsibly sourced brands.

QR codes have even been installed throughout The Carlyle for guests to access content such as home manuals and local recommendation guides to reduce paper waste.

Fran Milsom, co-founder and director of Nestor, said: “We have been researching environmental products as part of a longer term sustainability plan for the buildings we manage and feel that The Carlyle really aligns with our desire to be as eco-friendly as possible. Not only that, but it fits with our ethos of being technologically advanced, in a great location, with appealing design so we are delighted to be managing it.

“Since launch, the pickup has been much better than we could have planned, with lots of bookings and consistently high occupancy rates, and we expect that to continue. The Carlyle is ideal for both the leisure and the corporate market – we are offering both mid and short-term rentals, addressing the growing desire for flexibility in corporate travel and the wider alternative accommodation sector. The Carlyle launch is part of our wider plan to expand into this sector and we will be announcing more like this in due course,” he added.

Other features at The Carlyle include the installation of Smartlocks, whereas 24/7 support is offered via WhatsApp and Nestor’s live chat, available on its website.

Nestor works with portfolio landlords in the serviced apartment and student accommodation sector, and is currently operating in London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Granada, Madrid and Dubai.</p
