China: Hilton plans to introduce more of its brands to China, including at least one extended stay brand.

Hilton CEO Christopher Nassetta told analysts on the company’s third quarter earnings call this week: “You will likely see extended stay entering China in the next 12 months.”

VP corporate communications Nigel Glennie confirmed that the company’s China team is actively discussing introducing multiple brands to the market.

Hilton’s two main extended stay brands, Home2 Suites and Homewood Suites, are currently only located in the US and Cananda. There are 350 Home2 Suites and 507 Homewood Suites in the two countries.

“We are constantly looking at whether we should be creating demand and introducing various brand concepts around the world that may not even exist in certain markets, like extended stay in China as an example,” Nassetta told investors.

Hilton has more than 240 hotels in China, launched its Canopy by Hilton, Curio Collection by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn brands in the country in the past year.
