US: A Home2 Suites by Hilton has opened in LaGrange, Georgia.
The four-storey hotel has 89 rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and a meeting room.
Chris Chavis, president of owner PHD hotels said: “Home2 is an extended stay hotel. That is something that is not in the City of LaGrange right now as far as a higher end Hilton product extended stay. In our research of possibly developing a downtown hotel, we still liked the LaGrange area, and with the Great Wolf Lodge coming onboard, it turned out that we had an opportunity to be there in a new development with them. That appealed to us and made a lot of sense.”
According to Chavis, even while the property was still under construction, it received regular inquiries for rooms during upcoming conferences and other events.
