US: A dual-branded 147-suite Residence Inn and 114-room Fairfield hotel has opened in San Jose, California.

The LEED certified project at 656 America Center Court is owned by InfiniPower Hospitality Group of Mountain View, California and managed by Johnson Hospitality of Danville, California. General manager Josh Howard and director of sales and marketing Maria Larios lead the management team at the properties for Johnson Hospitality. Preferred equity for the construction of the hotels was provided by Canyon Partners Real Estate LLC.

The solar powered, energy efficient properties will share an outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor patio with built in BBQs and a fire pit, basketball court and putting green – all overlooking San Francisco Bay. The property features a full-service bar centrally located in the lobby with light food options, two meeting rooms with a combined 1,125 square feet of functional meeting space to accommodate events for up to 72 people, and a well-equipped fitness centre.

Located in Silicon Valley, two miles from Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers, seven miles from the Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport and nine miles from downtown San Jose, the dual-branded property offers guests convenient access to the Santa Clara Convention Center and the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.

“Attracting both business and leisure travellers, the Silicon Valley area is an ideal location for these hotels,” said Janis Milham, senior vice president, Classic Select Brands for Marriott International. “Each brand offers distinct amenities and services that tailor to all visitors.”

The Residence Inn San Jose North/Silicon Valley offers studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. Designed for stays of five nights or more, each suite also has a fully equipped kitchen with a coffeemaker, microwave oven and residential-sized appliances. </p
