UK: Citystay UK has brought together its collection of brands under the Citystay Group.

The company has been diversifying its offer since 2018 and has now brought the initial four of its autonomous brands under The Citystay Group umbrella.

Citystay Serviced Apartments has been operating in Cambridge since 2008 and has grown its portfolio of apartments, spread across 16 locations within the city.

Checked Inn is the group’s medium-term accommodation provider based in Cambridge, operating since 2018. This brand sits as a hybrid provider between serviced accommodation and private rentals, providing turnkey property from 12 weeks onwards.

InnClusive is the agency arm of the group, offering the Checked Inn model across the UK and Ireland.

And Cambridge Clean Sheets is a commercial laundry business focussing on providing services to the hospitality sector.

Rachel Samuels has joined the company as head of sales to continue the development of the group, and to establish the brands further. She said: “I feel that I am joining at a pivotal time in the Citystay Group’s journey. It is a time for growth and development, and I am proud to now be a part of what promises to be an exciting future for the group. I’m eager to drive the sales strategies for each of the brands under the umbrella group and to further cement our reputation for the delivery of outstanding, innovative service.”

The group has also promoted Krista Kortelainen to head of revenue and reservations. Over the last two years, Krista, who has extensive hotel management experience, has become a HOSPA certified revenue manager.

She said: “My hopes for the immediate future are to begin putting my learned skills into action for the benefit of the Citystay Group. I intend to continue and deepen my learning on the subject to help the group become industry leaders.”

Managing director Neil Fernandez said; “the launch of The Citystay Group has been the exciting culmination of several years’ worth of diversification and development planning. Although 2020 has been a difficult year for the hospitality sector, we have been able to adapt and thrive. 2021 therefore we anticipate being a springboard for the success of the groups initial 4 brands, with further provisions in the pipeline.”
