UK: Serviced apartment owner/operator Mansley has acquired the Strozzi palace property in Cheltenham.

The unusual property is modelled on one of the most important examples of Renaissance architecture in Florence. The acquisition comes six months after Mansley acquired Highland Apartments in Inverness. It also owns and operates properties in Edinburgh and London’s Kensington and Mayfair.

Strozzi Palace consists of six suites, named after Italian cities or regions, under a minute’s walk from Cheltenham’s Promenade. Built in 1894, its Grade II listed Palazzo façade is based on Florence’s 15th century Palazzo Strozzi.

Features include leather sofas, wood flooring, Egyptian cotton bed linen, Super King beds, free Wi-Fi, a choice of complimentary continental breakfast, daily maid service, free parking and free access to a local gym and swimming pool. Two suites have private balconies.

Sir Richard Rowley, chairman and CEO of Mansley Group Holdings, said: “We are proud to add Strozzi Palace to our growing portfolio of luxury apartments which provide more space and flexibility than traditional hotel rooms. It combines classic Italian style with our outstanding reputation for the best customer service. Strozzi Palace also offers our guests another marvellous leisure destination, famous for cultural and sporting festivals, just over an hour from Bristol and Birmingham and under two hours from London.”</p
