UK: Aberdeen serviced apartment provider Skene House has strengthened its sales team.

Lauren Craigie has been appointed sales manager. Originally from Edinburgh, she holds a BA in Management with Marketing from the Robert Gordon University. Since graduating in 2013, she has amassed extensive experience in the local hospitality sales sector.

Meanwhile, Samantha Thompson has been promoted to the role of assistant manager for Skene House’s commercial department. Thompson joined the company almost a decade ago, originally in the housekeeping department before working as a breakfast waitress, then on reception and in reservations. She has wide knowledge of Skene House’s portfolio across the city centre.

Former Skene House receptionist Scott Cairns has been promoted to the role of reservationist after working with the company for four years.  During that time, he has gathered considerable experience in various areas of the business and has worked as a concierge and receptionist whilst simultaneously furthering his experience in reservations on an ad hoc basis.

Skene House commercial manager Angela Greenhalgh said: “A critical part of the success of our business lies in having the right people in place as we prepare to embrace the challenges and opportunities of 2017 and beyond. Creating a balance of new faces and those with thorough knowledge of our company correctly positions Skene House to maximise our potential, as well as continuing to offer the high levels of customer service upon which our reputation is built.”

Founded in 1979, Skene House offers 189 studios, duplexes, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments across three Aberdeen city centre locations.
