UK:Teesside-based provider Elite Serviced Apartments is expanding to Spain with support from UKTI.
The company, which has properties in Yarm, Hartlepool Marina,
and Thornaby, targeted new markets in Spain after accessing the
government department's Passport to Export, Overseas Market
Introduction Service and Export Communications Review.
Managing director Katrina Rosser said: "Working with UKTI has given us the confidence to target overseas markets and the detailed analysis provided helped us to see that Spain was the best market to target. As a result we are about to launch our first contract to provide serviced apartment accommodation in both Tarragona and Sitges in Spain, with a combined value of €50,000."
UKTI adviser Stephen Muir added: "UKTI has a range of products designed to help North East businesses export their good and services overseas. Elite Serviced Apartments were already well established and respected in the UK and with our support now they are achieving significant contracts in Spain."
UKTI has launched an expanded package of help for first time exporters including ExportSavvy, which is an online programme with bite-size briefings on all aspects of export.
