China: Marriott has expanded its portfolio in Tianjin with the launch of TEDA Tianjin Marriott Executive Apartments.

Located in the Tianjin Binhai New Area, the property is connected to the existing Renaissance Tianjin TEDA Convention Centre Hotel, which features more than 6,000 square metres of event space.

It features 114 serviced apartments, ranging from studios to three-bedroom units, all featuring kitchens, free Wi-Fi, and on-demand housekeeping, grocery shopping, room service and limousine services. There is also a kids' club, and 12 function rooms. Guests can use the Renaissance's facilities, which include restaurants, bars, a 24-hour fitness centre, spa and 25-metre indoor swimming pool with sauna and whirlpool.

Henry Lee, Marriott's chief operations officer for Greater China, said: "We are pleased that the popularity of the Marriott Executive Apartments brand in China continues to grow and it now expands to Tianjin. Designed with extended stay travellers in mind, the apartments are located in an iconic location with the convenience of a five-star, full-service hotel. Offering space, ambience and privacy of residential living the Marriott Executive Apartments enables a comfortable stay while living away from home."

The new property is the sixth Marriott Executive Apartments in China, and joins properties in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Tianjin.
